Spain's Ambassador Stresses on Cooperation with ECI
News  - Spain's ambassador in Tehran, HE. Eduardo López Busquets, met with Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Mazaheri, the president of ECO Cultural Institute on Wednesday, 11 July 2018 at ECI headquarters.

At the meeting, Dr. Mazaheri, while referring to the Spanish-Mexican film week held at ECO Cultural Institute as a successful event, added: "The mission of ECO Cultural Institute is to highlight the cultural, artistic, and literary commonalties among ECO peoples.", ECI Public Relations reported.

He also continued: "Sa'adi and Cervantes, the two distinguished figures in the literature of Iran and Spain, should be honored more than ever."

Alluding to the cultural experiences of the Spanish ambassador, particularly in Arab and Islamic studies, ECI president suggested implementing joint work in this field in cooperation with ECI and the Islamic Art Institute in Qom.

The ambassador of Spain also welcomed the comments of the president of ECO Cultural Institute, saying: "There are many areas of common interest for joint cooperation that we hope to be conducted as soon as possible." Mr. Busquets, also in response to the comments made by Dr. Mazaheri about the historic city of Kurdava, said: "in coming year, we have a great cultural program on this historic city, which could be further enriched with the cooperation of ECO Cultural Institute."

In conclusion, the ambassador of Spain, reaffirmed the effectiveness of ECI's approach to Public Diplomacy and added: "This international institute is the best place where the great goal of cultural diplomacy could be achieved."
