The 1st Hypermarket of Iranian Handicrafts Opens in Esfahan
News > Iran  - On Monday February 3, 2020, the first hypermarket of Iran called 'Shahr-e Honar' (City of Art) was opened in Emad ul-Molk House in Esfahan.

 Present at the opening ceremony was Ali Asghar Mounesan, Minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism and a group of Iranian officials.
According to ECI public relations quoting IRNA, Mostafa Hesari, CEO of Shahr-e Honar, said this hyper market has been built as a pilot in Esfahan covering an area of 70 sqm housing 11 shops.
He then continued his remarks saying that the market offers original, high-quality yet reasonably priced commodities and handicrafts holding identification card produced nationally and soon, branches of this hypermarket will be opened all across the country with three ones abroad.
All types of handicrafts including woodwork, etching, turquoise inlay, modern and traditional pottery, leather work, enamel and handmade dresses are on display and for sale at the market.
