Photo Exhibition 'Uzbekistan at the Crossroads of Silk Road'
News  - Attended by ambassadors and diplomatic officials of ECO countries, the photo exhibition 'Uzbekistan at the Crossroads of Silk Road' was held on Monday, February 17, 2020 at ECI art gallery.

According to ECI public relations, at the exhibition around 40 photos taken by Uzbek photographer, Husniddin Ato, and depicting historical monuments, tourist attractions, customs and rituals of his country, were displayed for the public.
At the inaugural, Sarvar Bakhti, the ECI president, described Uzbekistan as a country with rich culture and history and added that this country possesses numerous arts and cultural works and familiarizing the peoples of the region with these works of arts and culture would be very fruitful in establishing deeper bonds of friendship among ECO nations.
While expressing his gratitude to ECI, H.E. Bakhodir Abdullaev, Uzbekistan's ambassador to Iran, said that the photos displayed at the exhibition mainly illustrate the cultural life, customs and traditions of the peoples of Uzbekistan and those people residing along the Silk Road.
H.E. Uzbekistan ambassador continued his remarks saying that the historical monuments of this country are the heritage of the peoples of Uzbekistan and regional countries and they indicate how close our ancestors have been. Pointing to ECI's role, he highlighted Uzbekistan's potentials in different fields such as organizing joint conferences, festivals and exhibitions and said that Uzbekistan could actively cooperate with the regional countries for the preservation of historical monuments and common heritage.
H.E. Bakhodir Abdullaev then launched a book on Amir Alisher Navai and expressed gratitude towards Dr. Hossein Mohammadzadeh Sedigh for the publication of this precious work.
Husniddin Ato, the Uzbek photographer, then thanked ECI and Embassy of Uzbekistan and said he is happy that his photos have been received warmly.
It is worth mentioning that Husniddin Ato is a professional musician and photographer, arts and cultural director and a member of Uzbekistan's Academy of Arts; has participated in several national and international exhibitions and competitions and has won awards. Moreover, he is promoting traditional Uzbek music. He is one of the few professionals with a comprehensive knowledge about subjects pertaining to Central Asian music heritage.
At the photo exhibition 'Uzbekistan at the Crossroads of Silk Road', H.E. ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and a number of diplomats residing in Tehran, artists and journalists participated.
